| Mimosa Arts is the visual arts studio of award-winning Nashville photographers Harry and Karan Simpson. Our approach is simple; provide each client with a thoughtful, well planned session dedicated to delivering extraordinary images and unique, beautifully designed products. We specialize in portrait and event photography as well as high-definition videography services. We are active members of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and participate in continuing education to ensure that the services and products we offer are of the highest quality and standards. Having been in business separately since 2000, we combined our individual studios under Mimosa Arts in 2008 in order to provide our clients enhanced services, capabilities and style options. Our studio is located in the heart of Nashville's photography district in historic Cannery Row. We are fortunate to have been published in national and international publications including publications such as Capture Music City, Sing Out! Magazine, Maverick Magazine and Images of Dickson County, as well as numerous artist's album packaging. Our work has been featured on NY1, Time Warner's 24 hour news channel in New York, in One on 1 with Roseanne Cash and in Utata's Artist Spotlight. We believe in giving back to the community. Individually we have donated our photography services to non-profit organizations in the Nashville area since 2000. We continue this service collectively through Mimosa Arts and accept applications from non-profit organizations throughout the southeast. As supporters of the musical arts community, we instituted our First Monday BluebirdTM (FMB) program in 2008. This program provides singer-songwriters free digital images of live performances for non-commercial use in their digital galleries and promotional prints. Our FMB program was established to provide this service to performing artists at Nashville's famed Bluebird Cafe on the first Monday of each month. As of October 2009, Mimosa Arts has provided free digital images to over 200 artists and counting. FMB is a donated service of Mimosa Arts and is not associated with the Bluebird Cafe or NSAI. Artists performing at many other venues including, but not limited to, 3rd & Lindsley, Mercy Lounge, The Rutledge, Maxwell House, Wildhorse Saloon, Douglas Corner, The Basement, Belcourt Theatre, Norm's River Roadhouse and Exit/In are extended this free service as schedules allow. |
Let's hope it gets good ones soon!
